Hang Tough

As we come to the end of July, we hope this month brought many moments of rest, reflection, and renewed strength. In a world where it’s easy to feel worn down by the weight of life—whether it’s unanswered prayers, waiting seasons, or everyday struggles—it can be tempting to throw in the towel when it seems it’s not working in your favor, but what if perseverance is part of the promise and journey?

This month’s article takes us to Luke 18:1, where Jesus encourages us to always pray and not give up. It’s a timely reminder that even when we feel tired or discouraged, God is still near—holding us, strengthening us, and inviting us to “hang tough” in faith. We pray this message encourages you to keep holding on, no matter what season you’re in.

As always, thank you for your continued prayers and support. We hope you enjoy July’s newsletter.
Hang Tough By Rev Dr. Huntley Brown

Luke 18:1 ‭NIV‬‬“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”

Are you discouraged? Do you feel like giving up?
Don’t, just hang tough.

Hang tough is a modern-day saying encouraging us when dealing with a challenging situation, to be aggressively unyielding and never give up. That’s exactly what Jesus is telling us in the verse. Never give up, just hang tough.‭‭Hang tough means keep holding on, press on, don’t give up.

Hang tough is an acknowledgment that yes, things are difficult, the night is dark, and fear and dread are all around. You are facing a challenge and feel discouraged.
Hang tough is saying don’t give up, just keep holding on.

Today, you might be facing a major challenge and feel like giving up, don’t.
Hang tough.

God is with you, He is for you, and He promises to never leave you or forsake you. Hold on to the good news found in this verse.

Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Blessings,
Huntley
